Coming from a family of horse riders, Michael Baumgartner started to ride in 2008 and quickly became established in the sport. Already in 2011, he leaves to work alongside Swiss nations cup rider Niklaus Rutschi as part of his apprenticeship.
This is where he gain his initial international-level experience. In 2013, he represents his country for the first time at a Junior level. In order to continue to improve his skills, he decides to relocate to Germany and train with Olympic gold medalist Lars Nieberg and CHIO Aachen 2022 winner Gerrit Nieberg before joining the Stephex Stables in 2019. After three years representing the Stephex Stables at various international events he fullfills his lifelong dream of his own show jumping stables and returns home to Switzerland. Michael is active in the training and showing of the horses and provides lessons to our students.

Steffie Hornig
Office Management
Steffie has a background in showjumping and also pursued a masters degree in Marketing at the University of Maastricht before joining the Stephex Stables as a social media and PR manager as well as establishing her own equine art business. Her roles at B&H Stables include the office and marketing tasks.

Seraina Donzé
Home Rider
After finishing her apprenticeship as a rider, Seraina worked for several showjumping stables, gaining valuable experience before joining B&H Stables as a flat rider in 2023. In her free time she has also discovered her passion for dressage riding. Seraina supports Michael in the daily work with the horses and also makes sure that all horses at home are perfectly looked after while the rest of the team is at the show.
Philipp has studied agriculture and knows the ins and outs of great barn management. Ensuring that we can rely on our own top quality hay, checking the quality of our bedding and grains and maintaining the grounds of the arenas are just some of the many tasks he is involved with daily.

Growing up in Neuhaus, Philipp knows the stables like no other. He is very passionate about the barn and makes sure that the facilities are in the best shape and all horses are happy. Philipp has studied agriculture and knows the ins and outs of great barn management. Ensuring that we can rely on our own top quality hay, checking the quality of our bedding and grains and maintaining the grounds of the arenas are just some of the many tasks he is involved with daily.
